Restored from the villa’s original farmhouse, Naciente (Sunrise) offers amazing views over the surrounding landscape from its glass fronted terrace. This two bedroom villa is ideal for families when booked in conjunction with Poniente. These two villas are located across from each other and feature a very similar floorplan. As with the rest of the properties on Finca La Corona, guests of this villa have access to a heated pool, Jacuzzi, and small gym as well as a number of entertainment areas such as a BBQ and Bocce ball court. Finca la Corona is located in the village of Yé, just atop the Famara cliff, and under a mile from the foothill of the Corona volcano. This area was declared a natural reserve, and therefore pristine and isolated from the mass tourism of other areas of the island, offering a true sense of peace and tranquility, fully undisturbed. Just a short walk away from the villas lies a path down the Famara cliffs. The hike down this path takes approximately 45 minutes, and leads to some of the island’s most pristine and untouched beaches, not accessible by any other means. Aside from the beaches located just below the Famara cliff, the north of the island also offers numerous other attractions such as the tourist centers developed by local artist César Manrique (Mirador del Rio, Jameos del Agua, and Cueva de los Verdes), less than 10 minutes away from the villas. Local Activities: Walking, Cycling, Mountain Bike, Paragliding, Wind surfing, Golf, Waterskiing, Fishing, Diving, Walking to the beach down The Risco Extras: Free guided walking tour by the Fire Mountains (by arrangement) Haría, Orzola, and Arrieta are three villages in the northern end of Lanzarote, all less than a 10 minute drive away from Finca La Corona. These villages exemplify both the greener north of the island (Haría), as well as the traditional fishing villages (Orzola and Arrieta), and offer visitors a variety of restaurants and destinations. Haría, also known as the valley of a thousand palms, is a village located just south of Finca La Corona, and one of the oldest villages on the island. This area offers some of the most spectacular and breathtaking views on the island, particularly during the winter months when the seasonal rainfall turns the northern portion of the island into a green oasis. Haría is also home to César Manrique’s last residence, after leaving his original home to the foundation that took his name. The coastal villages of Orzola and Arrieta offer not only great views of the cerulean blue ocean surrounding Lanzarote, but are also great places for a seaside lunch or dinner at a traditional restaurant such as Amanecer (Arrieta). Orzola is also the docking point of a ferry connecting Lanzarote and the small island of La Graciosa, the ideal destination for a mid-day excursion or hike.
